The Master SCUBA Diver course is designed to offer Advanced certified SCUBA divers the opportunity to learn not only the best skills in recreational SCUBA diving but also the knowledge needed to become a diving professional.

One of the most challenging courses in recreational diving, Master SCUBA diver combines studies in physics, physiology, decompression techniques, and gear configuration. Instructional methods are designed to maximize the divers existing skills and use this foundation to build new ones.

The diving portion of this course requires a minimum of eight open water dives including the following required dives:

  • Emergency procedures and rescue
  • Deep/simulated decompression diving
  • Limited visibility or night diving
  • Advanced navigation techniques
  • Search and Recovery – light salvage

The remaining dives are instructor electives and may include:

  • Air consumption calculation dive
  • Environmental study or survey
  • Ocean ecology
  • Drysuit diving
  • Boat diving

Course Pre-Requisites: Advanced Open Water and Rescue diver; Drysuit diver recommended for the temperatures expected during the deeper dives.  The minimum age for this certification is 15 years old.
